5 Alarm Field Fire Huntley Rd. September 12th, at about 1230pm Stayton Fire Department was called to 41084 Huntley RD in Stayton for a field fire. The field was a mixed-use field that contained brush and Christmas trees. Because of the weather conditions and the lack of water in the area it was quickly determined that more resources were needed. Fourteen agencies and about 70 firefighter responded to the scene. The fire was held to under eight acres. No buildings were involved in the fire. There were no injuries and no dollar loss. Stayton Fire Department and Oregon Department of Forestry will be there for a couple of days putting out hot spots and doing an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
