NFPA Electrical Safety
Injuries Associated with Electrical Receptacles
Injuries associated with electrical receptacles:

We use electrical receptacles, AKA outlets, every day. They are what we use to charge our cell phones, to make our lights turn on, to make our televisions work and to brew our morning coffee. We usually think nothing of them, but it is important to know that injuries involving outlets sent an estimated 5,500 people to the hospital in 2015, with 27% of those injured being under the age of 5 and 29% being between ages 5 and 17. Check out NFPA's new electrical fact sheet and infographic!
