At approximately 5:15 this morning, Stayton Fire crews were dispatched to a garaged fire, which was immediately next to an office building. Callers reported flames shooting out and explosions. When command arrived shortly after, the fire had spread to the office building. Additional alarm assignments were called to bring in additional resources and eventually a 4th alarm was reached based on the size and scope of the fire. The fire was deemed under control at around 6:38, but crews remained on scene working to extinguish hot-spots and complete overhaul operations. The office building has received extensive damage and as with all working fires, investigators are on scene working.
