Rescue 85
Rescue 85 is a combination brush and rescue unit located at the Elkhorn Station of the Stayton Fire District. This unit is the "first out" apparatus for the station and responds on all medicals, fires, and rescues. The unit is a 2006 custom unit built by Danko.
The unit has a 200 gpm pump, 625 gallon water tank, 15 gallon foam tank, and a class A foam system. It is also equipped with a 2000 watt portable generator with light kit, truck mounted scene lights, saw, exhaust fan, emergency rescue service (EMS) kit, Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), rope rescue equipment and seats 5 people.
This is a very versatile unit that was built to provide wildland fire protection, rescue, and EMS, eliminating the need for two separate vehicles. This unit replaced a CAFS engine that was no longer meeting the needs of the community.
