Gene Coles was elected to the Board in 1996.

Personal History

Gene Coles was born in 1927.  He moved to Mehama in 1948, and helped to start the Volunteer Fire Station there.  In 1950, Gene opened up his own business.  He is currently retired.  Gene is married and has two daughters, 6 grand children, and 11 great grand children.

Gene loves to stay active by hunting and snowboarding as often as possible.

Gene also serves on the Lyons-Mehama Water District Board of Directors and has served on the Stayton High School Board and Peoples Telephone Board.
