Stayton Resource Center has started taking applications for Stayton Volunteer Protection Co. #1’s Toys for Joy and the Community "Gift of Christmas Dinner" programs. The programs are available to applicants that qualify and live in the Stayton and Sublimity Fire Districts which also includes the Communities of Marion, Elkhorn, Mehama, Mt. Pleasant, and Drift Creek.

Applications can be completed at:

Stayton Resource Center, 238 N Third Avenue in Stayton on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Fridays from 9 AM to 11:30 AM. (Dates and times may change due to meetings or the office being closed)

Last day to register is December 12, 2008.

To register you will need to bring:

• Picture ID
• Current Utility Bill for proof of address
• Proof of Income for everyone in the household (Examples: last 2 paycheck stubs, DHS printout, SSI Awards Letter, Child Support, etc.)
